The International School of Uganda sports and extra-curricular activities programme has a strong commitment to excellence. The P.E. department provides for the whole school an array of competitive and non competitive sporting opportunities, special events, extra curricular activities and service learning opportunities. ISU teams annually compete in the ISSEA (International Schools of Southern and Eastern Africa) and ISSAK (International School’s Sports Association Kampala) leagues.

ISSAK (International Schools Sports Association Kampala)
is a local competitive sports league. The senior school teams will compete in Volleyball in the third season starting on 14 March include Under 20 boys and girls, Under 16 boys and girls, and Under 13 boys and girls.
ISSEA (International Schools of Southern and Eastern Africa) is an international regional athletic and extracurricular association. ISU is a member school of the ISSEA League. Other participants in the ISSEA League include:

ISSEA tournaments include volleyball, basketball, track, swimming, rugby, band, choir, dance, drama, arts, STEM, tennis and golf.We look forward to the challenge of training and preparing our teams for these tournaments and to seeing their successes along the way.
The PE Department
Our PE department consists of Ramon Ornelas (Athletic Director), Sheilla Kabasiita (After School Activities Coordinator), Noah Ssengendo (Junior School Swimming Teacher and Swimming Coordinator), John Zahara (Teacher and Coordinator of Junior School PE), Sekesai Nhokwara (Senior School Teacher), Conrad Gaira (Junior School Teaching Assistant), Peter Obbo (Junior School Swimming Teaching Assistant) and Sharon Kemirembe (Junior/Senior School Teaching Assistant) with additional support from our maintenance and store room managers Steven Kazibwe and James Olyadda.
