The lush thirty-three acre ISU campus is a garden for many indigenous plants and bird-life. The purpose-built campus is on the outskirts of the capital city of Kampala in a rural setting and about 5 kilometers from Lake Victoria. It includes four fully equipped science laboratories, three computer laboratories with access to the Internet and wireless connectivity campus-wide, a state-of-the art Science Centre, a library of 20,000 volumes, dining hall, 2 sports fields, sports hall, track, 2 swimming pools, 4 tennis courts, golf practice range and separate facilities for Early Childhood education.
The Library with over 20.000 volumes, is a school community effort where the librarian, teachers and students jointly create and maintain a learning environment with access to a wide- range of print and non-print information resources. The mission of the library is to foster in our students a love of reading and the development of life-long learning abilities in information discovery. The collection of library resources is done in collaboration with the teachers in order to directly support and enhance the school’s curriculum requirements and the PYP, MYP and DP programs. Additionally, in consultation with teachers, and through guided inquiry, library and research skills are taught within the context of classroom projects. Finally, in all it’s resources and programs we seek to reflect the international and multi-cultural nature of the ISU community. Click here to learn more...

The school has a cafeteria that offers hot lunches to the entire school. The cafeteria offers a wide variety of meals to satisfy all our students. In addition, it also offers snacks and drinks throughout the day. A health conscious menu, that is changed regularly, is published bi-monthly in our weekly newsletter.
