The International School of Uganda seeks dynamic educators who possess a passion for teaching and learning, a commitment to fostering enquiry, reflection and high standards within themselves and their students, and a demonstrated strong work ethic and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues. Successful candidates will share our beliefs in ISU's Learning Principles. Teachers are expected to take an active part in school life beyond the classroom. They are also expected to contribute to the positive social, emotional and character development of the students.
The ideal teacher candidate must have an university degree, the appropriate teaching license or credentials and at least three years teaching experience. Preference is given to those who have been trained in one of the International Baccalaureate Programmes: Diploma, Middle Years, Primary Years. ISU values candidates who have continued their professional development, taught students from culturally diverse backgrounds and who have previously lived and worked overseas.
ISU continues to look for substitute teachers for our substitute pool. If you have teaching experience and enjoy working in a school, we encourage you to send in your resume and application materials by email to Laura Kisakye (email@example.com). Please be aware that we require all successful candidates to provide a recent Interpol check.
Please note that all employees of ISU are required to have a recent police clearance before being employed by the School.
