Introduction to The International School of Uganda 

A warm welcome to the International School of Uganda website. 

We hope that you find it informative. ISU is a not-for-profit, parent-owned co-educational school that is the only school in Uganda which offers these three International Baccalaureate programmes. ISU educates about 550 students, aged 2.5 to 19, who represent over 60 different nations, and is situated on a lush thirty-three acre purpose-built campus.  Read more...

ISU is proud to announce that Brian Kiiza, the ISU Scholarship Student in this year's senior class, was awarded the Mastercard Foundation Scholarship to attend University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada.

During March 20 and 21st, ISU participated in the inaugural ISSEA STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) competition, which took place at the International School of Harare (HIS) in Zimbabwe. ISU welcomed the 175 athletes and coaches from Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, South Africa, Mozambique, Zambia and Zimbabwe for the ISSEA Basketball Tournament from 26-28 February 2015. In a stunning display the players showcased their outstanding skills and sportsmanship. The ISU girls team and the AISJ boys team were crowned the champions of the tournament. The ISU community saw the reboot of the full school musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. The Stanbic/ISU Family Fun Run, which took place in early June, was a big success with many hundreds of runners helping to raise 45 million shillings for worthy causes supporting needy children in Uganda. The spectacular Cantina Latina, PTA's Curriculum related event aimed at celebrating the Latin American Culture was a huge success with a large turnout of families, good food, music and entertainment. Catherine Namwezi, ISU's first scholarship student won the annual prestigious Margaret Sanders scholarship. This is awarded for perseverance, motivation and cultural understanding. She was also recently accepted into Hope College in Michigan, U.S.A. Congratulations to Catherine on her numerous achievements.
