Semester in Review from the Head of School

We started the year strongly, welcoming 7 new teachers and 53 new families to our community. Our enrollment proved very healthy this year. We began the year with a community “Wine and Cheese” welcome from the PTA. Open Houses in both schools followed which enabled families to meet teachers and better understand our programs. The ISU family day was a very enjoyable event which featured a PTA organized barbecue, meetings to talk about our IB and language programs and a theatrical performance by our students. Read more...

This year's ISU Charity Fun Run (view Slideshow of images), held on Sunday 1st April, was blessed with perfect weather, a light shower and clouds which kept the temperature low and helped the runners manage Lubowa's fierce hills. The 5k and 10k races 55, 700 million shillings for this year's beneficiaries, who are: Foodstep - caring for captive children, Breakdance Project Uganda - empowering and encouraging youth through dance, Nyaka AIDS School – one of ISU's partner schools, and the ISU Scholarship Fund...
The ISSEA Volleyball and Soccer Tournaments hosted in Johannesburg and Lusaka respectively were extremely successful with ISU teams taking three second places and a fourth...

Edline at ISU

The International School of Uganda has signed up to use Edline in the Senior School

Edline is an easy way for you to keep up-to-date with your child's assignments at school. Once you have activated your account, you can use Edline to:

  • Receive emails with school or class information
  • View the 'Combined Calendar' to see all the events from the Senior School calendar and, more importantly, your child's own classes and activities automatically collected and personalised.
  • See homework and project requirements and deadlines, test dates, and read notes from you child's teachers.
  • Read daily announcements, school policies, and classroom news.

ISSEA - Basketball Tournament

ISSEA this year was hosted by ISK in Nairobi. The ISU Leopards competed against 6 other international schools from Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, South Africa, Ethiopia and Zimbabwe. The tournament lasted 4 days, from Wednesday 29 February to Saturday 03 March. ISU Boys Team brought home the bronze medal while the girls team finished in a strong fourth place. Click to view results of the Basketball matches on the ISK website or log on to Facebook. International Track Meet

On 15 March, the ISU track team travelled to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for the ICS international track meet. Athletes representing ISU brought home 18 medals from the meet!!! The coaches were delighted with the excellent behaviour of the athletes on and off the track. According to them the team really came together as a group and supported one another both during and after the races.  To view pictures from the meet, please click here.       

Festival of World Cultures

Student Enrolment

The International School of Uganda Admissions Office receives applications for enrolment throughout the year. For more information about the application process please contact admissions@isumail.ac.ug. The school year runs from August to June. Students can enroll at ISU all through the year.
