We look forward to the Arts Centre providing state of the art teaching spaces for visual arts, music, drama and dance for all ISU students.
ISU held a celebratory groundbreaking ceremony for the new Arts Centre on Thursday, 14th June, 2018. As the morning rain cleared the Head of School Caroline Jacoby, along with current and past board members, Yanjian (construction company), Arch Forum (architects), the Arts department, teachers and members of our community all joined in the event. The founding stone and plaque were unveiled by the Chair of the Board, Mr. Tom Barton. In addition, a tree was planted to commemorate the occasion by representatives from ISU, Arch Forum and Yanjian.
We look forward to the Arts Centre providing state of the art teaching spaces for visual arts, music, drama and dance for all ISU students. In addition, the Centre will have a 430 seat auditorium which will be a wonderful performance space for the ISU community and also be available for the wider Kampala community to use.
We are looking forward to a significant amount of the noisy work taking place over the long break and for the project to be completed in the academic year 2019-20.
